The client’s request for a Ponderosa pine cone, pine needles, and a rustic, homey feel for their bed-and-breakfast logo didn’t play to my strengths in sleek, dynamic design. I leaned into warm colors for the custom vectorized pine cone I built from scratch to create definition and form, and I opted for a single swooping shape that evoked a pine needle while hinting at the titular “ridge” in the company’s name.
